PRESS NOTE

Today on 04-12-2018 on the call of Bharatiya Postal Employees Federation and it’s affiliated unions thousands of Postal employees are on one day Nationwide strike in support of their genuine demands. (Copy attached).

Addressing the Press/ meeting Santosh Kr. Singh Secretary General , B.P.E.F. said that D.O.P had called for a meeting with all of our General Secretaries to discuss the Charter of demands, but the Department has not taken any proactive measure action towards our demands and due to immature attitude of Department, the meeting held on 03-12-2018 concluded without any fruitful result and assurance and we have got no option and compel to go on one day strike today. Mr. Singh also reiterated that our main demands like Scrapping of NPS, Cent Percent compassionate appointment, abolition of Bench Mark in APAR for grant of MACP, revision of multiplication factor of 7^th CPC , non implement of Kamlesh Chandra Committee Report, Cadre restructuring of different cadres in Postal / RMS/ Postal Accounts/ Civil Dn. / S.B.C.O. , amendment in Recruitment rules in Postal Accounts, restoration of Out station allowance etc. and he said that if Department not resolve these issue within estipulate period then BPEF shall hold big trade union activities programme shortly.
